How to add value to a traditional West End home

Pine Tree Way

Space for all of the family is a common request for us and takes many different forms. Sometimes it needs to be a family space and grown up space all in one and then behave differently when the circumstances change. From being mum and dad back to being young enough to party… at least over Dinner… throw a garden overlooking woodland into the mix and it suddenly needs to allow enjoyment of the outside.

Pine Tree Way

Externally an extension that relates to its woodland context and distinguishes between old and new with contemporary materials. A space that is changeable through the day as required, creating a successful family living area with great access to their garden. The space has the ability to become a grown up party space separate from the rest of the house where little people may be sleeping. The feature window seat allows enjoyment of the woodland with a book to read from the comfort of being inside. The woodburning stove provides warmth and comfort during the winter months.

"We are grateful to Tinto Architecture for bringing an imaginative and creative approach to the design of our extension, which has really made the most of our house. They were responsive and proactive throughout the design, planning and build processes, and worked really well with our builders. We are delighted with the end result, and would definitely recommend Tinto to anyone thinking of extending their home."
