ONE Tech Hub
Home to the digital tech and entrepreneurship community in Aberdeen, the ONE Tech Hub space had been designed by an architect, but needed some finishing interior design touches.
In order to truly bring it to life, we worked with the ONE Tech Hub team to understand how the space was to be used and who by – creating mood boards and conducting space planning to make best use of the available areas. Selecting the right furniture and accessories (i.e. the fun bit) was the end result of this careful groundwork, planning and research.

As the ONE Tech Hub's key objective is to accelerate business growth and enhance the entrepreneurial ecosystem across the North East, our ultimate goal was to create a space that enabled people to be productive, collaborative and creative.
Functionality was a key consideration – some people would be using the space to work, or to meet and collaborate with colleagues, mentors or clients, but some would also be using it to relax and socialise over a cup of coffee. Versatility was a requirement, not just a 'nice to have'.
Keeping the interiors current but also minimal, to align neatly with the Opportunity North East (ONE) and CodeBase brands, we selected a mixture of practical table seating, with a clear area for hotdesking. Combining this with several comfortable seating spaces meant that people could pick their preference – comfy seat and coffee table or sensible chair and desk.
Minimal, functional and flooded with natural light – the ONE Tech Hub was now ready to welcome digital innovators, entrepreneurial collaborators and the North East business community.
